Any advice on how to stop attending meetings without being hounded?

it seems many are attending without wanting to be there at all.. what suggestions can we offer?.

i was wondering how this might pan out:.

"my dear wife/husband, i have a question which i am waiting on jehovah for an answer for.

You can try the fade thing but the reality is your dub family is under the control of some powerful conditioning! So you ease out THINK you still have your family and friends and than down the line they drop the latest WT dogma on ya. Its like a ticking time bomb waiting to blow.

Prime example My wife was at her sour bitter ass aunts house and her aunt starts going in on her and how she's not going to the hall Ya'll know the spill. She was being somewhat cordial to my wife for the last few months, but who wants to be with people who you never know when the WT$ conditioning gonna kick in?

Recently heard rumor, can anyone substantiate?

so a friend of mine said that one of their family members told them the following:.

... was telling me last monday that entire congos were being dissovled due to individualized thinking.. .

now, i haven't heard anything specific, and if there were widespread rumors i'm fairly confident we would hear them here.

I wonder if that is just the spin they are using to justify closing congo's.

One hall I went to was in a poor area of town but they had a nice KH. The RBC came thru with their remodeling scam and the congo's couldnt afford it so they disolved BOTH congo's. another friend of mine said this happened to his old hall.

Since they are finding it hard to keep up the remodeling scam they are just shutting down these hall's and maybe this is the spin they are using to justify it.

the lying, the faking and pretending, the hiding, the endless mind-numbing meetings, service, preaching, assemblies, everything!.

most of the time i can handle it quite well.

I am not familiar with your situation but if you are young and need direction in life I will agree with Moshe go to the military (airforce 1st choice than navy) This will accomp-lish 2 things:

1st it will kick-start you into adult/manhood. I have always said one of the ways dubs emasculates you as a man is keeping you under your parents roof for far to long. The safety of parental nest is a beautiful thing but there comes a time you MUST set out on your own path.

2nd done right the militarty can set you on a very promising career path.

When I got out of school I had a license to fix aircraft and wanted to be a pilot. I was told the best route was to go to the military. Well as a brainwashed dub this was out of the question and I wanted to serve at bethel.

Fast forward to present of those I went to school with half went into the airforce and most made it a career. One guy was stationed in egypt and just got his PHD on the AF dime another is retired and working for a defense contractor now. ones a pilot and several are working on aircraft.

Me...Wel you know when you get the letter from social security that tells you how much you have put in and what you get when you retire? Mine has a big fat 0 for the 2 years I was at bethel.

Choice is yours bitch and moan about your circumstances and how you cant leave for circumstances beyond your control, or be a man take charge of your life and your future. Get busy living or get busy dying!

7 Governing Body Members = 21 Condo Apartments ?

a few years ago, a bethelite mentioned to me that each gb member has an apartment in patterson, walkhill and brooklyn... a total of 21 condos.... now, assuming this is true, i'd like to make an extremely conservative estimate of these condos.... if each condo is worth only $250,000 us, that's still a total of $5.25 million.

assuming the furnishings are worth on $50,000 for each apartment, that's another $1.05 million.

add to that number their vehicles (worth roughly $30k), that's another $630k... all told, we're looking at a number well over $7 million (by this conservative estimate).... any ex-bethelites care to shed some light on this subject?

Um yeah sorta?!?

They do have residence/apts at each location but you have to understand that the patterson and farm upgrades came via volunteer construction workers. So its not like they went out and bout condos/ apts at real estate value.

I was at bethel from 94-96 and for the most part a lot of stuff about the GB gets sensationalized. Its not so much they live this super plush lavish lifestyle, its the perks they enjoy.

A Brother Died At Bethel

i got a text from my mom when i got into work today saying that a brother i've known for a while had died.

he was a bethelite and they found him dead in his room.

he was the same age as me.

I've known 2 JW's who commited suicide one they had a funeral at the hall, the other it was at the funeral home.
